In his multidisciplinary practice, Ištvan Išt Huzjan brings together different artistic positions and strategies that he interprets in symbiosis of performances, books of artists, photographs, music, drawings, installations. By superposing the media and playing with codes and conventions of contemporary visual culture, Ištvan Huzjan constructs equally simple, serious, playful and suggestive environments of his own spreading of language and art. Therefore, the concept of the exhibition in Novigrad, simultaneously interferes with the artistic action and the presentation of an artist’s book that, after he leaves the gallery space, becomes the subject of processuality.
The Book of FONTANA HUZJAN DELVAUX DERYCKE was made through collaboration between Ištvan Išt Huzjan, Rigo Gallery and Studio “Luc Derycke”, a well-known Belgian publisher who is specialized in bibliofil art books.
Presentation of Ištvan Išt Huzjan in Croatia is a common project of the Gallery Rigo and Gallery of Contemporary Art “Apoteka” in Vodnjan, in which Ištvan will have the second exhibition at saturday, 25th May 2019.
